My Ami Buggy's Unique Electric Car, a Citroën product. Specifications and prices.

The return of the Citroën car brand to Indonesia. This French brand brings a tiny electric car with a unique appearance, My Ami Buggy. Unfortunately only introduced and not for sale in general.

The Buggy edition of the Citroën Ami received a positive response in the global market. It only took 17 minutes to make it sold out. This French brand only produces 50 units and 1 unit is in Indonesia.

For your information, Citroën's parent company, Stellantis N.V, appointed the Indomobil Group to resume Citroën's business in the Indonesian market. This car brand last sold its products in Indonesia in mid-1994.

When talking about Citroën, then we know that this brand is one of the unique and bold car brands. To explain that, we brought Ami Buggy. Until today, only 50 units of this car were produced, and we got 1 unit. It is a representation of the uniqueness and boldness of the Citroën brand."

Furthermore, Citroën My Ami Buggy proves that manufacturers are able to produce cars that are different and fun with an interesting visual approach. With its battery-based electric technology, it proves that Citroën is serious about competing in the global and domestic EV market later.

1. Citroën Vision

Citroën has a far-reaching vision by presenting product concepts that transcend time and age. My Ami Buggy is one of Citroën's visions and ways of describing a future vehicle," he added.

Apart from the EV technology it packs, the My Ami Buggy has a main selling point in appearance. This tiny car tries to represent a practical and tough EV through the design it carries.

2.Models

The production version of the My Ami Buggy features a dark green body color with some bright yellow accents and bronze wheels. Unlike the other Ami variants, the Buggy model uses a tube-shaped side door resembling a tubular.

The roof of this car can be removed with the application of black canvas material. If you choose not to use, these components can be placed on the back of the chair.

3. Specifications

The appearance is indeed a little calmer when compared to the concept model that was introduced in December 2021. There are no external lights on the roof, no headlight protectors, and no roof rack to serve as a location for placing the spare tire. However, when juxtaposed with the Standard Ami type, it is clear that this version appears stronger and bolder.

Citroën My Ami Buggy is equipped with an electric motor with a power of 6 kW or the equivalent of 8 horsepower. While the battery uses 5.5 kWh which, when fully charged, can roam up to 70 kilometers.

Because of the electric dynamo power and the not-too-large battery, this SUV-style EV can only be driven up to a speed of 45 kilometers per hour. Meanwhile, the duration of charging the battery from position 0 to 100 percent takes 3 hours and does not yet support fast charging or DC current.

4. Citroën Car Prices

Regarding the selling price, although the features and specifications are quite mediocre, this car is offered with a fantastic price tag of touching 9,790 Euros or the equivalent of Rp. 158 million. If it is sold in Indonesia, it is likely that the price will swell to 2 times.

5. Capacity

Regarding passenger accommodation, this car is only able to carry 2 people, namely the driver and passengers on the side. There is no special luggage space, but the owner can take advantage of the open slot at the back to carry goods.

Citroën under the Indomobil Group business umbrella also confirmed that they would enter the electrification segment. But there is no definite information when they will sell it. In early October, the company presented the e-C4 SUV electric car, which is likely to be a portfolio for models in Indonesia.

"Citroën Indonesia and Stellantis are serious about entering the segment that is currently being discussed, namely EV. By preparing 2 special stalls for EVs in our workshop, this proves that we will bring EVs to the Indonesian market," he explained.
